Hey everyone and welcome to MTS. Firstly we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to see us at our stall on Wednesday, it was great getting to meet you all and we hope to see you all at our introduction events next week.
On that note, we’d like to give yous a bit more info about what we have coming up.
Presenting MTS
27th September @7PM, Stage 2
Our first event of the year is Presenting MTS. This is a showcase of what we have done in the past. You’ll get to see the committee and members perform some of their previous songs. You’ll see a range of songs from different musicals such as Beauty and the Beast, Follies, The Last Five Years, Six and more!
You’ll also get to know the committee and find out a bit more about what you can expect throughout the year
Taster session
29th September @7PM, TBC
The taster is where you can really get a feel for what we do as a society.
This session will be split into two parts. The first part will be an information session where you’ll get full details of what we do, who we are, where you can find us online as well as information about the audition process which will take place the following week.
The second part is the practical, this will give you the chance to experience what a typical MTS session/rehearsal will be like. We will start with some getting to know you games to help everyone get involved and energised. In the second part, our Musical Director and Vocal coach will teach you a section from one of our gala songs so you experience learning harmonies and singing in a group.
We will finish with a dance section where our choreographers will teach you a dance from the gala similar to the vocal section.
Both these events are free to attend and open to everyone and if you have any questions please feel free to speak to any committee members at these events.
