On the 6th-8th December 2024, our members put on Northumbria Musical Theatre Society’s 16th annual Musical Gala! ‘Curtain Call: A Musical Gala’ was a spectacular show of our members’ talent, covering songs from musicals ranging all the way from classics like Les Misérables, to newer hits such as Moulin Rouge.
Encore! marked a fantastic milestone for our society, being our 15th annual gala, and became our most successful and attended show yet! Featuring hits from Bring It On, Shrek, and Chicago, to name a few, Encore! was a night to remember! Have a watch of the show here!
A Night In Hollywood, our 2022 winter gala show, was performed on the 2nd to the 4th of December. The show included well known songs such as ‘You Will Be Found’ and ‘Mama I’m A Big Girl Now’, and hidden gems such as ‘The I Love You Song’ and ‘I Will Never Leave You’. Have a watch of the show here!
Our first Gala since 2019, Back To Broadway features a variety of songs from musicals both classic and modern, performed by our insanely talented cast of members. Production for these numbers started in October 2021 and was performed from the 2nd to the 4th of December.
Our 2019 gala, titled Viva la Broadway, was performed on the 28th to the 30th of November, featuring songs from old school musicals like Calamity Jane and The Sound of Music, and newer hits such as Be More Chill and Hamilton!
In 2018 we hosted our 10th musical gala, titled A Night in the Spotlight! Covering some musical fan favourites such as Heathers, The Book of Mormon, Dreamgirls, and The Greatest Showman! Have a watch here!
