Every year at MTS we work with a different charity to help raise money and awareness for their cause through our shows and fundraising efforts.
Here is a list of previous charities we have supported, and how you can find out more about them.
Motor Neurone Disease Association
The Motor Neurone Disease Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by motor neurone disease across the UK.
Billy’s Room
Billy’s Room has raised money to help provide a bereavement room in James Cook hospital, and continues to raise money towards providing the correct equipment and nurses to support this.
St Teresa’s Hospice
St Teresa’s Hospice offers palliative and end of life care and support to people with life limiting illnesses, and to their families, loved ones and carers.
Cancer Research UK
Cancer Research is a UK based charity at the forfront of research into cancer treatment and cures. They are funded by donations and hold several fund raising evnets across the country.
Twisting Ducks
Twisting Ducks is a North East based company which helps people with learning disabilities and Autism express their creativity and talent through theatre.
Marie Curie
Marie Curie needs no introduction, named after the Noble Prize winning Physicist of the same name, Marie Curie provides end of life and ongoing support for people with cancer and their families.
Mind
Mind is a mental health charity supporting those with mental health issues offering advice and support as well as raising awareness of mental health .
